Finding Full Book with Custom Book ISBN

A lot of publisher working with Universities or Colleges providing custom edition books. Can we find a way to search the original book (non customized version) with custom edition ISBN?

        This is just about impossible in the current state of affairs with custom editions. Publishers do not release the ISBNs of custom editions to trading partners like Amazon, so those ISBNs are essentially invisible to the web, strange as that may seem.

        This is not something that is going to be easily solved from the accessibility side. We have seen some progress on publishers listing the individual elements in a bundle, which is multiple books or items with a new ISBN. This is due to legislation. I dont see how this can be implemented for customized books without major disruption to publishers sales methods.
