Given the success of our API (Web Services), we are not planning on building an RSS feed. Please look at developer.bookshare.org for more info on the use of the API.

I'd love one which showed only new books available to international users in specific countries - I'm in Australia myself. It's frustrating to read that a certain book is available and then find that it isn't available for *me*. :/

Having a new books RSS feed and feeds for each book category would make it easier for members and teachers to see when new books are available. It could also be used as a powerful marketing and outreach tool since many students and young professionals use feeds on sites like Google Reader as well as RSS readers on cell phones, PDAs, and Braille notetakers. This is a way for Bookshare to meet user needs without users having to load the Bookshare site in a traditional web browser.
The RSS feed is easy to write with the software Bookshare currently uses. It could probably be done in a matter of hours, not days. Yet the return on investment could be huge in terms of member retension, involvement, and acquisition.
