I would find this feature to be helpful in my volunteer work. Seeing how often a book is downloaded gives me a better idea of what members actually want to read. I know certain categories are popular, but that's not really helpful for feedback. The teen, mystery, or helth categories are so large and broad. I want to know what members actually prefer within those categories. When I'm buying books to scan, I want to choose books that members, not just other volunteers, want to read.
I especially want to know if anyone else finds the business books I scan useful. If not, I should focus my attention on other genres and just read my business books as needed. Other volunteers tell me that business books are boring. Maybe they are. I can't know if that's the case unless I see the numbers for actual downloads. If other members like to read my books, I'll keep scanning them. If not, I'll switch to scanning books people actually want to read.
